Quiet First Half Leaves Lynx Behind Against Pilgrims

GAME OVERVIEW:

HENNIKER, NH. -- The Lesley Men's Basketball team lost 94-64 to the New England College Pilgrims on Wednesday night. The Lynx fall to 2-18 overall and 0-5 in conference play, while the Mariners advance to 11-11 and 4-1 in the NECC.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • NEC got out ahead quickly with a 13-0 run to open the game. Lesley did not score over the game's first five minutes and were never able to catch up, despite 18 points from Marco Powells and 13 from Davion Fields.
  • The Pilgrims got great performances from their stars to lead them to an easy win over the Lynx. Jamal Allen led all scorers with 19 points, while Calvin Cheek was up to his usual tricks, scoring 13 points and securing 7 rebounds, while picking up a game high 7 steals.
  • The Lynx did end up with two career nights, as Tye Lubetzky scored a collegiate career high 12 points off the bench and Adonis Giannopolous secured a career best 13 rebounds in only 23 minutes.
