GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. -- The Lesley Men's Basketball team fell in a close matchup with the Eastern Nazarene College Lions 88-75 on Sunday afternoon. The Lynx drop to 2-15 overall, while the Lions move up to 11-9.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lions got out ahead quickly, going from down 14-12 to up 30-14 in a five minute span. Lesley then went on a 16-4 run of their own, led by Marco Powells and hot shooting from Davion Fields, to pull within six points at halftime. Powells and Fields each had eight first half points for Lesley.
  • The two teams traded baskets for the first few minutes of the second half before Christian Castro put the Lynx ahead with five points in twenty seconds. The Lions then made four substitution to spark a run that put them ahead for the rest of the game.
  • Powells led the Lynx with twenty points and nine rebounds, while Fields finisehd with 18 points on four of eight shooting from three point range. Castro added nine points off the bench, while Auston Slay collected thirteen points and eight rebounds.
  • Bernie McGuiness led ENC with twenty points and eleven rebounds, while Ka'Shaun Swan and Deonta Pearson each had twelve bench points.
