Lynx Fall to Lions Despite Powells' 23

GAME OVERVIEW:

QUINCY, MA. -- The Lesley Men's Basketball team dropped a conference matchup to the Eastern Nazarene College Lions 100-72 on Saturday night. The Lynx drop to 2-14 and 0-2 in conference play, while the Lions move up to 10-9 and 2-0 in the NECC

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lions dominated on the boards, outrebounding the Lynx 49-27. They were able to take advantage of second chance opportunities as well, securing sixteen offensive rebounds and scoring seventeen points off of those second chances.
  • Marco Powells had his third straight solid performance for the Lynx, leading the team in scoring with 23 points. Powells also added seven rebounds and five assists to his strong night. Davion Fields and Auston Slay each played well for Lesley as well, with both scoring 17 points. Slay shot four of six from three point range to lead the team.
  • Nick Manso was the leader for the Lions with 23 points, thanks in part to five of nine shooting from three. Will Zarges and Levi Grady-White helped pace the Lions in their strong rebounding effort, with Zarges securing seven rebounds to go along with his seventeen points and Grady-White grabbing nine boards. Deonta Pearson also secured nine rebounds.
