Pilgrims Put Lynx Away With Strong First Half

GAME OVERVIEW:

HENNIKER, NH. -- The Lesley Men's Basketball team dropped their second NECC matchup in a row, falling to the New England College Pilgrims 104-52. The Lynx fall to 2-12 overall and 0-2 in the NECC, while the Pilgrims move up to 7-10 and 1-0 in the conference.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Pilgrims dominated in the first half, cruising into halftime with a thirty point lead. Jamal Allen scored 24 of his 27 points in the first half, while Calvin Cheek added nine. The Lynx were led by Marco Powells' eleven points, but could not keep up.
  • Three-point shooting was the difference maker in the first half, as NEC shot eleven for thirty and the Lynx were only two for fifteen from beyond the arc.
  • Lesley struggled to make shots even more in the second half, missing all thirteen of their three point attempts and making only nine shots altogether. Kyle Murphy led the team in the second half with 8 points, while Christian Castro added 8 off the bench. Nick Gomeau had eleven for the Pilgrims off of their bench.
