Lynx Fall to Curry's Second Half Surge

GAME OVERVIEW:

MILTON, MA. -- The Lesley Men's Basketball team couldn't get by second half struggles as they fell 89-67 to the Curry Colonels on Thursday night. The Lynx fall to 2-9 this season, while the Colonels advance to 2-7.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lynx started strong in the first half, building up a 31-17 in the first fifteen minutes. Kyle Murphy and Davion Fields combined for 17 first half points on 7-for-12 shooting for Lesley, but a late surge brough the Colonels back within two points just before halftime.
  • The second half was all Curry, as JayQuan Leonard led the way with eleven second half points and Lowelle Torres added ten more. Curry shot 57.9% in the second half, compared to only 32.4% for Lesley. Curry also picked up seven offensive rebounds to help secure the win.
  • Murphy led the Lynx in points with fifteen total, with Field adding 13 and Adrian Zgrdja scoring eight off the bench. Six Colonels scored in double digits, with Leonard's 13 leading the pack.
