GAME OVERVIEW:

FORT KENT, ME. -- The Lesley Men's Basketball team dropped the second game of their two-game Maine road trip on Sunday afternoon, falling to the UMaine-Fort Kent Bengals 94-72. The Lynx fall to 1-1 on the season, while the Bengals advance to 2-1.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Both teams shot well in the first half, with the Bengals making 61.4% of their shots and the Lynx sinking 57.1%. The Bengals had a 90% free throw percentage in the first half, though, while the Lynx only made five of nine attempts. Fort Kent went into half with a 54-51 lead.
• Gabe McCrary looked to be on his way to another huge night in the first half, scoring all 18 of his points on eight of ten shooting in the first twenty minutes. Davion Fields had another impressive performance off the bench, scoring 13 in the first half.
• The entire Lynx team was quieted in the second half. They only made shots the whole half, with McCrary and Christian Castro, who had ten points in the first half, being held scoreless in the second. Fields was the leading scorer for the Lynx in the second half with only five points.
• The Bengals had a huge advantage in the paint in this one, outscoring Lesley 52-30. The Lynx made two more threes than the Bengals, but Fort Kent was far more efficient with their threes. They were six for sixteen, while Lesley took thirty-nine threes and were only able to make eight.
• Aiden Grady led the way for the Bengals, helping them build an insurmountable lead in the second half. Grady had 26 points and 8 rebounds and his teammate JUlian Hymes added 18 points for Fort Kent. McCrary and Fields led the Lynx with 18 points each, with McCrary adding 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
