Lynx Lose Chippy Game to Blazers

GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. -- The Lesley men's basketball team lost to the Elms Blazers by a 115-78 score on Wednesday night. The Lynx fall to 0-21 on the season and 0-9 in the NECC, while the Blazers advance to 7-15 overall and 3-6 in the conference.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Elms pulled away from Lesley in the first half with strong performances off the bench from PJ Bucheri and Jaijuan Macklin. David Lopez scored nine points in the first half for the Blazers and finished with 16. Bucheri finished with 18, while Macklin finished with 14.
  • Kostas Tatsis had 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Lynx, but fouled out early in the second half. Chase Howard and Treyvon Trent both fouled out as well after adding 11 and 12 points, respectively.
  • The Lynx were forced into foul trouble early after a few tough calls put the Blazers at the line. Elms ended up taking 48 free throws as Lesley had a whopping 25 fouls called against them in the second half. There were 62 fouls and seven techincal fouls called on both teams combined.
  • Three-point shooting was a difference maker in this one. The Lynx shot only 15.4% from three, while Elms shot 36.8%.
