GAME OVERVIEW:
MEDFORD, MA. -- The Lesley men's basketball team lost to the Mitchell Mariners by a 102-73 score on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx fall to 0-20 on the season and 0-8 in the NECC, while the Mariners advance to 9-12 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Chase Howard led the Lynx with 23 points on 10-19 shooting. Howard added nine rebounds and four assists on the day and now sits at 17.9 points per game this season.
- Kostas Tatsis had a great day for Lesley as well, socring 17 points and grabbing 17 rebounds before fouling out. It was Tatsis' seventh double-double of the season and his season high in rebounds.
- The Mariners got 79 of their 102 points from their starting lineup. Matt Finke led the way with 25 points and going 5 of 10 from three. Jalen Benson scored 22 for Mitchell and made 12 of his game-high 16 free throw attempts.
- The Lynx kept the game close for much of the first half, but struggled shooting in the second with a 36.1% mark and allowed the Mariners to make small runs and extend their lead for good.
