Nashua, N.H. – Daniel Webster College used a balanced scoring attack to top Lesley University 75-57 in New England Collegiate Conference action this afternoon at the Mario Vagge Gymnasium. The Eagles improve to 6-9 overall and 3-4 in the NECC with the win – their second over the Lynx in the past five days to sweep the regular season series. The loss drops Lesley to 2-14 on the season and 2-6 in conference play.

Michael Campbell (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) led five players in double figures with 17 points while Ray Farmer (Nashua, N.H.) flirted with a double-double, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds. Ryan Gauthier (Nashua,N.H.) added 15 points, six rebounds and a game-best five steals.

Angelo Adon (Silver Spring, Md.) picked up 13 points for the hosts, adding three assists and three steals. Shawn Fenton (South River, N.J.) rounded out the Eagle top scorers with 12 points and added six boards.

Terrell Toney (Lakewood, Wash.) led the Lynx with a game-best 19 points including 14 in the opening half and added eight rebounds. Matt Gianoni (Berlin, Conn.) pulled in a game-high 15 rebounds and chipped in with five points. Justin Rosa (E. Brunswick, N.J.), Casey Blanchard (Bernardston, Mass.) and Corbin Polec (Okemos, Mich.) finished with eight points each.

DWC used 54-percent shooting in the opening half against 35-percent shooting from Lesley to build an eight-point lead early on that ballooned to a 21-point advantage as Lesley managed just 11 points over the opening 13:30.

A Lynx 8-0 run over a two-and-a-half minute stretch ended with a Rosa three pulled DWC's lead back to 13 (32-19) at the 4:12 mark of the half, but Campbell drew two fouls inside and went 4 for 4 at the line and Farmer followed with a steal and dunk a minute later to get the lead back to 19. The hosts led 43-24 at the break.

A Fenton layup with 14:04 to go in the second pushed DWC to its largest lead (53-30) of the day before Lesley whittled the deficit back to 16 three times, the last coming on a Blanchard trey with 4:55 remaining. Farmer buried two from the line and added another layup with 3:14 to go to keep the lead at 17 and Lesley pulled no closer down the stretch.

DWC did a bulk of damage at the line, finishing 26 for 30 from the charity stripe, while Lesley finished 11 of 19. The Eagles were outrebounded (39-38) but finished with 12 steals while Lesley pulled in just three.

The Lynx will return to conference play on Tuesday as they welcome Regis College to Cambridge at 8:00p. The Eagles also return to action on Tuesday as they head to Elms College for a conference matchup at 7:00p.
