
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University was well-represented on the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Baseball All-Conference Team, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, May 15. Senior James Brandon has been named the 2024 NAC Baseball Player of the Year while Head Coach Don Gilbert took home 2024 NAC Coach of the Year honors. In addition to these major awards, the Lynx landed three players on the NAC All-Conference First Team, five players on the NAC All-Conference Second Team and one representative on the NAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Brandon was named the NAC Player of the Year to go along with a First Team All-Conference nod at first base following a monster campaign for the Lynx batting .385 with a .512 on-base percentage and a .692 slugging percentage. The senior set the Lesley program-record with 50 hits that included 14 doubles, one triple and eight homers. He drove in 37 RBI to go along with 30 runs scored, drew 28 walks and also stole five bases.
Gilbert earned Coach of the Year honors after guiding the squad to 23 wins during the regular-season, the second highest single-season total in the program's history. Behind his leadership, the squad secured the No. 2 seed in the NAC postseason in their first year in the new conference and also rattled off a program-record 12-game winning streak during the heart of the campaign.
Senior Dylan Langston closes out his LU career with a First Team All-Conference nod in the pitching position after posting a 6-1 record with a 2.63 ERA. He threw four complete-games on the year including a complete-game shutout win over Husson University on April 7.
Joining Langston on the NAC First Team is his battery mate, first year catcher Kevin Dorsey. Dorsey enjoyed a strong first season of college-ball at Lesley batting .303 with a .459 on-base percentage.
Representing the Lynx on the NAC All-Conference Second Team were junior pitcher Jacob Nemergut, first year second baseman Owen Kalagher, junior shortstop Justin Dennett, graduate student outfielder Adam Budorick and junior outfielder Colby Jacobs.
Senior Miles Chamberlain was the Lesley representative on the 2024 NAC Baseball All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Lynx finished the 2024 campaign with an overall record of 23-16 after posting a 13-5 record in NAC play to earn the No. 2 seed in their first year in the North Atlantic Conference.
