O'Donnell Jr. Collects NECC Weekly Honor

NECC RELEASE

Cambridge, Mass. - Lesley University Baseball Senior pitcher Daniel O'Donnell Jr. (Clark, N.J.) has been named NECC Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday. This is O'Donnell's second time receiving the honor this season.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

  • O'Donnell made four appearances in relief, posting a record of 1-0. In his 14.0 innings of work, O'Donnell registered 12 strikeouts while allowing three runs, and holding opponents batting average (OBA) to just .296.
  • In O'Donnell's win vs Newbury College (4/27/19), he went 6.2 innings in relief while only surrendering two runs and striking out eight batters. O'Donnell also provided a key relief apperance against Becker College (4/28/19), in game two he pitched 2 and 2/3 innings while allowing just two hits to maintain a 3-3 tie with the Hawks. The Lynx would eventullay win that game on a walk-off single in the 11th inning. 
  • Lesley went 4-3 over the week and were 2-2 when O'Donnell stepped on the rubber.

UP NEXT

Lesley (11-23, 8-8) await to see who they will play in the NECC Conference Tournament, the Lynx could finish as the three or four seed. Lesley will host a first round game on Tuesday, April 30.
