Lesley Baseball fall to Framingham State, 18-4

Framingham, MA. – Lesley University baseball were beaten at Framingham State College in non-conference game, the Rams ran away with a 16-4 win on Tuesday afternoon at Bowditch Field. The Lynx drop to 7-19 on the campaign, while FSU improve to 14-13 overall on the season.

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The Rams started the contest with 14 runs in the over the first three innings to take a strong hold of the game. Lesley grabbed their first run of the game in the sixth after a William Lombardo (Fredericksburg, VA.) fielder's choice scored Ryan Pumphret (Shrewsbury, MA.), after he reached on an error.
  • Lesley would grab three more runs in the eighth inning, with Brendan Fairchild (Temecula, CA.) singling to right to drive home Pumphret. Later in the inning, Zach Rossi (Shrewsbury, MA.) scored on a fielder's choice, and Leo DiGuilio (Bradley Beach, N.J.) had a sacrifice fly to bring in another run. This brought the score to 14-4 FSU after the top of the eighth.
  • However, the Rams would score four more runs to take the contest by a final score of 18-4.
  • Lesley put five hits on the board with Rossi leading the charge with two hits.
