ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Lesley University baseball team earned the fourth seed in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship Tournament announced Tuesday evening. The Lynx will face the number one seed and host Mitchell College on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m.

It is the fourth consecutive appearance in the championship tournament for the Lynx, who finished with a 9-9 conference record an 18-16-1 overall. Reigning NECC Rookie of the Week Matthew Warner (San Diego, Calif.), who is riding an eight-game hitting streak, is batting .366 against conference opponents with a .983 OPS (.561 SLG%, .422 OBP).

Defending champion Mitchell College earned the number one seed and will host the three-day weekend tournament with at 14-4 conference record and 27-11. Elms College claimed the second seed with a 12-6 NECC record and 17-18 overall. The Blazers will host third seed Becker College (19-17, 11-7 NECC) on Friday.
