Ferragine Named NECC Rookie of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- Lesley University freshman Nicholas Ferragine (Randolph, N.J.) has been named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week. Rebecca Mullen, the NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations, made the announcement today in the conference Weekly Report.

Ferragine sparked the Lesley offense, hitting .391 over six games this week. The rookie enjoyed the trip to the Sunshine State, compiling a .400 average with four doubles, six runs scored, and five RBI in the first ten games of his collegiate career.

Nicholas Ferragine, Lesley (Fr., INF, Randolph, N.J.) - Ferragine has exploded onto the scene for the Lynx as he hit safely in five of this week's six games at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. The rookie second baseman registered a .391 average with four RBI and three runs scored atop the Lynx lineup. Ferragine finished a combine 7-for-13 (.538) with a pair of doubles, four RBI and two runs scored in the three-game set against Becker while finishing with a pair of hits and a run scored in a doubleheader against Minnesota-Morris.
