For the first time this season, junior Ryan Genua (Prospect, Conn.) has been named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Pitcher of the Week. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Communications, Robb Modica, made the announcement in the conference weekly report.

Genua pitched 8.1 innings against NECC foe Daniel Webster College allowing two hits and two unearned runs in a 2-1 loss. On the year, the captain has logged a team-high 28.1 innings, 17 strikeouts, and compiled a 2-2 record.

Genua tossed a gem in his only start over the week against Daniel

Webster College. The junior captain went the distance limiting the

Eagles to just two hits, two runs (both unearned) while striking out

seven in the losing effort. With his outing, Genua lowered his ERA to just

2.86 on the year.
