Lynx Rally Past Sewanee

Lynx Rally Past Sewanee

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – After trailing 7-2 through five innings, the Lynx once again showed their flare for the dramatic as they stormed back for a 12-8 victory after an eight run sixth inning. Lesley, who had a comeback victory over Medaille College earlier in the week, improves to 3-4 on the season while Sewanee falls to 5-10.

Junior Jeff Landry (Vestal, N.Y.) pitched 5.2 innings in relief to hold the Tiger bats to just one run while striking out four.

The Lynx offense banged out 14 hits, eight of which came in the eight-run rally in the top half of the sixth.

Sophomore Robert Parson (Commack, N.Y.) and juniors Tyler Plourd (Canton, Conn.)  and Kevin Hopwood (Winter Haven, Fla.) each had two hits and two runs scored for the Lynx while Ryan Genua (Prospect, Conn.) knocked in three runs.

This was the finale for the Lynx' trip to Central Florida and will return to play at Emerson College on Tuesday, March 19th at 7:00p.
