WEST HAVEN, CT -- Sophomore starter Jeff Landrey threw a complete-game two-hitter in Lesley's 8-4 win over Albertus Magnus in out-of-conference baseball Thursday night.

The Lynx dropped Game 2, 10-0, with the Falcons scoring five of Lynx starter Joseph Santos and Albertus starter Zairus Fernandez posting five shutout innings.

In the opener, the Lynx broke a scoreless tie by putting four runs across in the third. John Gosnell doubled and scored on a Tyler Plourd single to start the rally. After Aqib Shah reached on an infield error, Andrew Colon drove in both Shah and Plourd with a double to right-center field, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a Patrick Melo sacrifice fly that made it a 4-0 game mid-three.

The Falcons push unearned runs across on a pair of Lynx errors in the fourth and sixth, but Lesley answered with RBI singles in the seventh from David Hersey, Andrew Cootware and Plourd that increased the Lynx lead to five at 7-2.

Landry, meanwhile, carried a one-hitter into the seventh, when Albertus plated two more on only one hit, a Landry balk and a sac fly, and Lesley went on to the 7-4 win behind the sophomore's career start.

The right-hander induced 13 fly outs, six ground outs, walked three and struck out one in his seven-inning two-hitter, picking up his second win in three decisions.

Game 2 belonged to Fernandez and the Falcons, which scored five in the third on three RBI doubles, chasing Santos from the mound after 2 and 2/3 innings in which he struck out three but was knocked for seven hits. Albertus added four more in the fourth, sophomore Joseph Martinez paced the offense by going 3-for-3 with three singles, and Fernandez scattered five hits in his five shutout frames to pick up the win.

For the Lynx, left fielder Greg Anglin went 2-for-4 with a double while batting out of the leadoff spot.

Lesley (7-20) returns to play on Saturday with an NECC doubleheader against Mitchell at Trum Field at 2:00 p.m.
