WENHAM, MA -- Junior Chris Conforti led the Lynx to the program's best finish ever as Lesley placed fourth out of 25 teams at Saturday's Pop Crowell Invitationial hosted by Gordon College.

Conforti placed 17th out of 275 runners with a time of 27:05. Junior Max Bulger followed in 20th place at 27:09, and fellow junior Kyle Casiglio crossed the finish line a second later, placing 22nd.

"Chris led today with a gutsy performance, and our pack of five guys was impressive to watch," said head coach Dan Flynn. "They are working hard together and the training is working."

Count Lesley director of athletics Jen Benway among the impressed.

"It's wonderful to see them place so well in a very difficult meet," Benway said. "Several of the Lesley runners placed well ahead of many Division II runners, and I am beyond impressed with coach Flynn's cross country team as a whole."
