Cambridge, Mass--  The Lesley University Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams raced in the 12th Annual Saints Invitational at Franklin Park on Friday afternoon hosted by Emmanuel.  Gordon College took home the women's team crown while Wentworth Institute of Technology captured the men's title.  The Lynx women placed 8th out of 22 total teams racing in the event.  

New England College senior Abby Shafer (Egg Harbor Township, NJ) crushed the field with a time of 18:34 to win the individual crown by more than a minute to set a new meet record on the 5k course.  

Senior Amy Bouchard (Goffstown, NH) continues to lead the Lesley Women and finished first of the Lynx pack.  Bouchard placed 30th overall with a time of 21:04.  Fellow classmate Alexandra DiMauro (Woburn, MA) finished seconds behind Bouchard in 21:08, good for 33rd place out of the total 210 runners. 

Senior Jordan Penny (Eliot, ME) and Junior Nicole Footer (Lewiston, ME) rounded out the top 50 runners overall with times of 21:39 and 21:40 respectively. The top four Lynx runners finishing within a minute of each other helped pave their way to the 8th place finish.  

The Lynx look forward to a week off from competing to be ready for the NECC Championships on October 28th.
