CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University freshman Alex Dimauro (Woburn, Mass.) and junior Emilia McGrath (Bowdoin, Maine) swept the New England Collegiate Conference Weekly Awards in their opening week, being named NECC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week and NECC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, respectively. NECC Assistant Commissioner Roger Crossley made the announcement in the Conference Weekly Report.
Dimauro had a superb collegiate debut turning in a seventh place finish at the Fens Classic, while McGrath also turned in a solid top-30 performance in the sixth annual running of the race.

Dimauro got her career started in impressive fashion as she turned in a 7th place finish at the annual Fens Classic hosted by Emmanuel College. The Woburn, Mass. native posted a time of 12:29 on the two-mile course through Boston's Back Bay.
NECC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK

(Junior, Bowdoin, Maine)
McGrath opened her 2014 campaign in a strong manner, posting a top-30 finish at the annual Fens Classic hosted by Emmanuel College. The junior finished with a time of 13:19 over the two-mile course through the Fens.
