Miller's Fourth Place Finish Paces Lynx

MANCHESTER, Conn. – Lesley senior Leah Miller (Thomaston, Conn.) finished fourth in a field of nearly 100 runners to lead the Lynx at the Trinity Bantam Invitational at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn. this morning. Miller kept a 6:55 pace and finished in 17:13, just 27-seconds behind winner Christie McFarlane from Siena College who came in at 16:46.

Lesley, who finished with 114 points and a combined time of 1:32:34, finished in fourth place overall.

Three seniors were next to cross the line for Lesley. Ana Lutkevich (Mansfield, Mass.) posted a top-20 finish, coming in as Lesley's second finisher with a time of 18:22, good enough for 18th place overall. Jacqueline Rosa (Wolcott, Conn.) and Kat Vicino (Mattapoiset, Mass.) followed, coming in at 18:51 and 18:59, respectively.

Freshman Abby Coppinger (Moultonborough, N.H.) posted a time of 19:09 on the 4k course while sophomore Emilia McGrath (Bowdoin, Me.) came across at 19:43. Elena Pereira (Wilmington, Vt.) was the seventh runner to finish for the Lynx, coming in at 19:55.

The Lynx will enjoy a weekend off next weekend and race again on September 21st when they travel to the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational.
