Deluga Nets Second Straight NECC Player of the Week Award

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – For the second time in as many weeks, Lesley University junior Kaylee Deluga (Dennis, Mass.) has been tabbed as the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen made the announcement today in the conference Weekly Report.

This marks the third time this season that Deluga has garnered the honor. The junior has continued her dominant streak, leading Lesley to a pair of conference victories last week. On the season, Deluga ranks second in the NECC in total kills, kills/set, hitting percentage, and blocks/set.

Deluga and the Lynx will be back on their home floor on Tuesday when they host Daniel Webster College and host a Dig Pink Rally at 8:00p. The Dig Pink® Rally is The Side-Out Foundation's October event that brings together volleyball players across the nation to raise funds for breast cancer research, demonstrate the power of teamwork, and show support for people with the disease. Money raised through Dig Pink®supports Side-Out's game-changing cancer research and programs to develop the whole player. To donate to the cause, please click here.
