Deluga Tabbed as NECC Player of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – For the second time this season and fourth time in her career, Lesley University junior Kaylee Deluga (Dennis, Mass.) has been named New England College Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen made the announcement today in the conference Weekly Report.

Deluga was the main cog in a tri-match sweep for the Lynx last Saturday at Elms. The junior notched a pair of double-doubles while swinging .433 on the day. Over her last five matches, she has averaged nearly 15 kills and 12 digs.

Kaylee Deluga, Lesley (Jr., M, Dennis, Mass.) - Deluga had a monster weekend as she powered the Lynx to a pair of victories in a tri-match with Elms and Castleton. The junior started the day by knocking down 20 kills on a .571 hitting percentage to go with 12 digs, three aces, and two blocks in a 3-0 win over the Blazers. Deluga followed that performance by go for 21 kills, 20 digs, five solo blocks, one block assist, and a .291 hitting percentage in a 3-2 victory over the Spartans. In the two wins Deluga combined for 41 kills, 32 digs, and eight total blocks while swinging .433. She also added seven kills and five digs in a 3-0 setback at Anna Maria on Thursday.
