CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University junior Danielle Johnson (Waterford, Conn.) has been honored by the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) as the Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending September 15, 2013. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations, Robb Modica, made the announcement today in the conference Weekly Report.

Johnson and the Lynx will return to the court tonight for a non-conference tilt with Mount Ida College and will also be home on Thursday night when they play host to St. Joseph's College (Me.) at 8:00p.

In four matches this week, the junior setter dished out 85 assists and played strong defense collecting 23 digs. Johnson set a season-high in assists with 29 in a match against Wentworth and set up 22 to go with five kills in a 3-0 win over Pine Manor.
