BOSTON, Mass. - In a match that was eerily similar to the 2007 meeting between Lesley University and Suffolk University, the Lynx once against scraped by the Rams 3-2 (19-25, 26-24, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13).  Lesley improved to 4-8 with the victory while Suffolk dropped to 5-6.

Three Lynx middle hitters tallied 10 kills including freshman Amanda McCracken (ELDERSBURG, Md./Liberty) who had only one error on 15 attempts for a .600 clip.  Also registering 10 kills in the match were Lindsey Marek (KILLINGSWORTH, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) and Kaitlyn Wechsler (MERRICK, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy).

Four of Wechsler's 10 kills were in the deciding fifth set in which the Lynx topped the Rams 15-13 to win the match.

Freshman setter Kaitlyn Miller (LEESPORT, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) dished out a season-high 42 assists in the match.  She currently averages 6.38 assists per set in 2009.

Defensively for the Lynx, Marek had a team-high 15 digs but was aided by Megan Ortwein (SHANGHAI, China/Shanghai American School) and Kayla Henry (SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y./Saratoga Central Catholic) who finished with 12 and 10 digs, respectively.

The win marked the first time this season that the Lynx have won back-to-back matches as they defeated New England Collegiate Conference school Bay Path College in the second game of a tri-match this past weekend at Coast Guard Academy.  The victory over Bay Path did not count towards Lesley's conference record.

The Lynx will next host Great Northeast Athletic Conference rival Mount Ida College on Wednesday, September 30 starting at 7:30 pm.
