Lynx Combined for 11 New PRs at 5th Annual SNHU Penman Relays

THE LEAD – The Lesley University Track & Field team posted a total of 11 new personal records Saturday afternoon at the running of the 5th Annual Penman Relays hosted by Southern New Hampshire University in Hookset, N.H.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Hannan Hangle finished seventh overall in the 3000m steeplechase with a PR time of 13:35.73.
  • Hailey Von Ahn had a busy day competing in a total of five events, recording Lesley PR's in her 200m and 400m races. The junior finished the 200m in 28.35 seconds and the 400m in 1:04.31. She also raced in the 100m, 4x100m relay and 4x200m relay.
  • In the 4x200m race, Von Ahn teamed up with Sacha Porter, Lauren Rudolph, and Rafaella Vogt to clock in at 2:02.77 for a sixth place finish.
  • Along with Von Ahn, the Lynx also were represented in the 200m race by Sacha Porter, Lauren Rudolph and Raffaella Vogt with Porter and Rudolph registering new PRs.
  • Porter posted a PR in the 100m dash while Mackenzie Mann and Bethany Slivka both raced to new PR's in the 1,600 mile race.
  • Tori Young picked up a 22nd place finish in the Shot Put with a heave of 8.15 meters.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Dawson Romito continued his solid spring with a collegiate PR in the 1,600m mile race with a blazing time of 4:46.04.
  • Christian Castro set a pair of PR's in his two events. He finished the 200m in 23.86 seconds for a 17th place finish and then clocked in at 55.90 seconds in the 400m race for 29th place.
  • Nathan Asgdom also set two new PR's in his 200m and 100m hurdle races. The first year ran the 200m in 24.97 and clocked in at 16.45 seconds in the hurdles for a fifth place finish.
  • Frank Leone rounded out the Lynx competitors with a 9.01m throw in the shot put event, good for 22nd overall.

  • The Lynx head to Rhode Island next Saturday, April 20 for the Bruno's Backyard Classic meet hosted by Brown University at Brown Stadium in Providence, R.I.
