Lynx Conclude Spring Season At Pride Classic

WESTON, Mass. – The Lesley University men's and women's track team closed out the 2017 spring season at the Regis College Pride Classic, Sunday afternoon.

Junior Alex DiMauro (Woburn, Mass.) led six Lynx in the 800-meter run finishing with a time of 2:44.45. Senior runner Sydney Altschuler (Durham, Conn.) was not far off her teammate's pace finishing 13th with a time of 2:56.55 while sophomore Nicole Footer (Lewiston, Maine) was right behind her in 15th with a time of 3:01.13.

First year Beth Caronna (Longmeadow, Mass.) finished 16th with a time of 3:02.21 while junior Sarah Campisi (Saco, Maine) placed 18th with 2:24.62. First year Maeve Hedstrom rounded out the Lynx in the 800-meter with a time of 3:32.59.

Altschuler and Footer also competed in the 1500-meter along with sophomore Anne Cooper (Harvard, Mass.). Altschuler finished ninth with a time of 5:44.66 while Footer was hot on her tail with a time of 5:46.59 to place 11th.

First year runner Kayla Ranere (Danbury, Conn.) was the sole Lynx runner in the 400-meter, running a time of 1:16.22 to finish seventh.

Sophomore Mike Fleming (Southwick, Mass.) highlighted the Lynx men competing in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and the long jump. In the 100-meter, Fleming placed 11th with a time 12:05 while finishing 13th in the 200-meter with a time of 24.31 before placing eight in the long jump with a distance of 5.51 meters.

First year Ethan Marians (Larchmont, N.Y.) also competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. In the 100-meter he finished with a time of 13:85 while running 27:93 in the 200-meter.
