SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Lesley University senior Leah Miller (Thomaston, Conn.) represented the Lynx at the Division III New England Championships this afternoon on the campus of Springfield College.
Miller, who was the only Lesley runner to qualify for the meet, finished the 5000-meter in 18:36.30, good enough for 21st overall.
MIT freshman Maryann Gong won the race with a time of 17:27.26, crossing a full 12-seconds before her next competitor.
This marks the second straight year Miller has participated in the meet, having qualified in the 1500-meter last year.
The senior's season is not over yet as she will compete in the All-New England Championships next weekend at Westfield State.
