Miller Fly's to First Place Finish at Pride Invite

WESTON, Mass. – Lesley University senior Leah Miller (Thomaston, Conn.) cruised to a first place finish in the 5000-meter at the annual Pride Classic hosted by Regis College. Miller finished 15-seconds ahead of her competitors and strolled to a time of 18:49.94.

Miller's season is not over yet as she has qualified for the NCAA DIII New England Championships, All-New England Championships, and ECAC Championships in the 5000-meter and 10,000-meter. Next weekend she will travel to Springfield College to compete at the NCAA DIII New England's in the 5000-meter run.

Classmate Kat Vicino (Mattapoisett, Mass.) also had a solid afternoon as she picked up a pair of top-ten finishes on the day. The senior sprinted to a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.71 while also finishing seventh in the 200-meter as she crossed at 28.26.

A trio of Lynx participated in the 1500-meter, led by senior Jackie Rosa (Wolcott, Conn.) who crossed at 5:32.26. Elena Pereira (Wilmington, Vt.) and Sydney Altschuler (Durham, Conn.) came in at 5:45.57 and 6:20.19, respectively.

Junior Arianna Thomas (Shrewsbury, Vt.) posted an 11th place finish in the 800-meter, racing to a time of 2:48.09.

On the men's side, senior Max Bulger (Falmouth, Maine) had an excellent day, finishing fifth in the 5000-meter and racing to a seventh place finish in the 1500-meter. Bulger posted a time of 15:59.87 in the 5000-meter while crossing at 4:15.92 in the 1500-meter.

Sophomore Nick Green (Stoughton, Mass.) followed closely behind Bulger in the 5000-meter, coming across at 16:06.06 while classmate Ian Barber (Westhampton, Mass.) came in at 16:44.03.

Senior Andy Scott (Merrimac, Mass.) joined Bulger in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:27.40.

Sophomore Tyree Williams (Boston, Mass.) completed Lesley's efforts on the day with a pair of top-15 finishes in the 100-meter and 200-meter. Williams cruised to a time of 12.03 in the 100-meter while crossing at 24.33 in the 200-meter.
