Women's Track Competes at Annual Snowflake Invite

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Lesley University women's track team opened up their outdoor season this past Saturday as they participated in the annual Snowflake Invitational hosted by Tufts University. Senior Leah Miller (Thomaston, Conn.) paced the Lynx at the event as she qualified for NCAA DIII New England Championships and the NEIAAC All-New England Championships in the 10,000-meter run. Miller posted a fourth place finish in the event with a time of 40:19.70, scoring five points for the Lynx.

Senior Kat Vicino (Mattapoisett, Mass.) posted a top-twenty finish in the 400-meter in her first time competing in the event. Vicino crossed the line at 1:04.84 for Lesley.

Junior Arianna Thomas (Shrewsbury, Vt.) and freshman Sydney Altschuler (Durham, Conn.) rounded out Lesley's performance on the afternoon in the 800-meter run. Thomas crossed the line at 2:52.69 while Altschuler followed at 3:10.12.

The Lynx will return to the track on Saturday, April 5th when they travel to Fitchburg State for the hosts' Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start at 10:00a.
