Vicino and Miller Run at the NCAA DIII New England Championships

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Lesley University seniors Kat Vicino (Mattapoisett, Mass.) and Leah Miller (Thomaston, Conn.) both traveled to Springfield College to compete in the NCAA Division III New England Indoor Championships this afternoon. Vicino raced in the 200-meter dash while Miller participated in the 3000-meter run.

Vicino, who qualified for the event at Boston University's John Thomas Invitational with a time of 27.17, crossed the line today with a time of 27.78. Naomi Bates of Amherst College won the event with a time of 25.70.

Miller qualified for the 3000-meter in the season's first meet by breaking the Lesley record at the Harvard Open, finished today's race with a time of 10:44.98. Lacey Ceretti of Williams College cruised to a time of 10:10.09 to take the win for the Ephs.

Miller will run in the ECAC Indoor Championships on March 7th at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury, Mass.
