Vicino Leads Women's Track at Harvard Invite

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Kat Vicino (Mattapoiset, Mass.) led the Lesley University charge today at the Harvard Invitational, pacing the Lynx in a field of Division I, II, and III runners. Vicino, who qualified for NCAA New England Regionals in the 200-meter last weekend at the John Thomas Invitational hosted by Boston University, was the first Division III runner to cross the line in the 200-meter this week with a time of 27.56. The senior also posted an 8.47 time in the 60-meter dash, a time good enough for a 24th place finish.

Junior Ariana Thomas (Shrewsbury, Vt.) paced the Lynx in the 1-mile, crossing in 6:22.91 while classmate Caroline McCormack (Pembroke, Mass.) followed with a time of 6:43.78. Freshman Sydney Altschuler (Durham, Conn.) rounded out Lesley's efforts in the event, coming in at 6:46.19.

Senior Jacqueline Rosa (Wolcott, Conn.) finished the Lynx' efforts on the afternoon, finishing the 3000-meter run in 11:37.13.

Next weekend the Lynx will return to the track when they compete in the David Hemery Invitational hosted by Boston University.
