Miller Paces Lynx at Tufts Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. – Lesley University senior Leah Miller (Thomaston, Conn.) opened up the 2014 season in impressive fashion as she raced to a second place finish in the 3000-meter run at the Tufts Invitational this afternoon. The Lynx top harrier crossed the line at 10:43.93, scoring eight points for Lesley.  

Classmate Jaqueline Rosa (Wolcott, Conn.) paced the Lynx in the one-mile run, crossing the finish in 5:59.68 while junior Arianna Thomas (Shrewsbury, Vt.) followed her up at 6:39.27. Freshman Caroline McCormack (Pembroke, Mass.) and Sydney Altschuler (Durham, Conn.) finished the one-mile is 6:44.16 and 7:01.47, respectively. 

Classmate Kat Vicino (Mattapoisset, Mass.) finished the 60-meter dash in 8.53 seconds to complete the Lynx efforts in the event. 

Lesley will return to the track on Friday, January 24th when they run at the John Thomas Invitational hosted by Boston University.
