Women's Tennis Slated Second in NECC Preseason Poll

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Lesley University women's tennis team has been picked to finish second in the New England Collegiate Conference Preseason, released today by Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen.

The poll, voted on by the conference coaches, saw the Lynx claim one first place vote and 12 total points. Four-time defending champion Regis College claimed the top slot in the poll, amassing 16 points and three first place votes. Becker College and Bay Path University rounded out the poll with eight and five points, respectively.

The Lynx, who have advanced to the NECC Championship match in each of the last two seasons, will rely on NECC First Teamers Caroline Kiddie (Scituate, Mass.) and Theresa Pereira (Hopedale, Mass.) along with senior co-captain Frances De Leon (Murrieta, Calif.) as they contend for the title.

Lesley will open up their season on Thursday, September 8th against Eastern Nazarene College and open their 2016 conference slate on Tuesday, September 13th at Bay Path.
