Kiddie, Pereira Sweep NECC Weekly Awards

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Lesley University sophomores Caroline Kiddie (Scituate, Mass.) and Theresa Pereira (Hopedale, Mass.) have swept the New England Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis weekly awards as Kiddie earned Player of the Week honors while Pereira was named Rookie of the Week. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen made the announcement in the conference Weekly Report.

The duo powered the Lynx to a pair of key NECC victories and has helped propel the Lynx into the NECC Championship for the third straight season.

NECC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Caroline Kiddie, Lesley (Soph., Scituate, Mass.) -- Kiddie was unstoppable all week, helping the Lynx go undefeated in three matches. The sophomore went 3-0 in the top singles flight, retiring all her opponents without dropping a set (6-4, 6-0 / 6-0, 6-0 / 6-1, 6-0), while also going a perfect 3-0 at No.1 doubles with partner Theresa Pereira.

NECC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week

Theresa Pereira, Lesley (So., Hopedale, Mass.) -- Pereira helped propel the Lynx to a perfect 3-0 record on the week. The sophomore went 3-0 at No.3 singles and 3-0 at No.1 doubles with partner Caroline Kiddie.
