Iverson Tabbed as NECC Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University junior Carissa Iverson (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) has been honored by the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) as the Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending September 15, 2013. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations, Robb Modica, made the announcement today in the conference Weekly Report.

Iverson helped lead the Lynx to their first victory of the season with a 9-0 sweep of Mount Ida College last Wednesday. The Lynx will be back on the court on Thursday, September 19th when they open up NECC play against Regis College at 7:00p at Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols.

Iverson earned a hard fought win in first singles against Mt. Ida College and followed up with an 8-1 win in second doubles in a 9-0 victory for the Lynx.
