THE LEAD – The Lynx hosted the North Atlantic Conference Semifinals this afternoon, with a matchup between Lesley and Maine Maritime Academy after both teams quarterfinal wins yesterday afternoon.
GAME 1 HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lesley and Maine Maritime battled back and forth for possession the entirety of the first half, neither team letting up on either side of the ball.
- The teams returned to the field after halftime, both teams without a goal on the board. 66 minutes into the match, Maritimes Kirra Magana scored an unassisted goal to give the Mariners a single goal lead.
- Lesley fired off 12 shots in the second half, but was unable to get the ball by keeper Isa Thesing.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Thesing made five saves in the net to clinch the win for Maine.
