THE LEAD – The Lynx hosted UMPI for a conference doubleheader alongside the women's teams for their last match of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lesley took a quick lead in the sixth minute of the match when senior Keira Bergman scored off a pass from Haile Carrillo-Hayes.
- Just two minutes later Hailey Von Ahn scored for the Lynx, assisted by Bergman.
- The remainder of the first half went on to be scoreless. Lesley went into the second half with a 2-0 lead until UMPI's Alexis Ireland scored a solo goal for the Owls in the 54th minute.
- Two minutes later Von Ahn tacked another one on the board.
- In the 71st minute Tatiana Ledesma put one in the back of the net off a stray pass upfield from the owls, just five minutes after entering the game.
- Bergman headed the ball in for another goal, assisted by Sage Henry.
- Chase Livesey sent in a spectacular strike off a pass up field from Bergman to give Lesley a 6-1 lead.
- Henry recorded a solo goal a minute later after stealing the ball from a UMPI defender and sending it into the top right corner.
- Henry struck again six minutes later off a cross pass from Bergman.
- The last goal of the match came a minute later after Henry sent a cross pass in for Bergman.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Bergman recorded three goals and three assists on the match.
- Henry recorded a paur of goals and assists for the Lynx.
- Lesley led the match 33-3 in shots, and 7-0 in corner kicks.
