BOSTON, Mass – Lesley Women's soccer earned their fifth conference win of the year with an 8-0 win at Wheelock College on Saturday afternoon.  The Lynx improve to 5-0 in NECC play and 10-2-2 on the season.  With the setback, the Wildcats drop to 0-5 in the conference and 1-9 on the season.

"We were able to get on the board early which is always great.  We had a great week of practice and we felt confident coming into this game". - Head Coach, Paul Vasconcelos

The Lynx were able to fend off an early scoring threat from the Wildcats, due to the efforts of freshman, keeper Jill Narby (Huntington, N.Y.).  Making her first career start for the Lynx, Narby was able to secure a shutout and earn her first career win at Lesley.

The first half was an offensive explosion for the Lynx as they tallied seven of their eight points.  Jordan Mitchell (Sachse, T.X.) and Xaelel Allen-Caballe (Henrietta, N.Y.) led the attack.  Mitchell scored three goals and Allen-Caballe chipped in two of her own.  Sam Ring (Thousand Oaks, CA), Kai Morehead (Oxnard, CA) and Rachel Buckley (San Diego, CA) each recorded goals to join Mitchell and Allen-Cabelle in the scoring column.

For their next match, the Lynx will travel to Tufts University on Tuesday, October 17th, with the match starting at 3:00 PM.  Wheelock will be traveling to Dean College on Tuesday, October 17th.
