Cambridge, Mass-- Lesley University Women's soccer team extends its three game win streak with a 6-0 victory over Suffolk University Tuesday night at Edwards Field.  On the three game streak, Lesley has outscored it's opponents 11-1 and sits at a 4-1-1 record heading into their conference opener this upcoming weekend.  With the loss, the Rams fall to 1-2 on the young season.

Senior Karlie Rubin continues to pace the offense for the Lynx scoring the first goal of the match just five minutes into play. Sophomore midfielder Kaitlin Scott crossed a ball to the front of the net where Rubin was left wide open.  The perfect ball from Scott gave Rubin the opportunity for a one time strike and first goal of the match, her sixth of the season.

Just ten minutes after the first goal, the Lynx found the back of the net off a long ball from junior Jordan Mitchell that connected with Scott charging in front of the goalie. Mitchell sent a deep ball to the back post and Scott came charging across to beat the goalie to the ball and knock it in for the Lynx's second goal.

Lesley kept its scoring pace netting their third goal of the first half in the twenty first minutes of play.  Mitchell picked up another assist and lifted a ball to the middle that skipped through the defense and found Junior Samantha Bessey.  Bessey was able to control the ball and made a one touch move past the charging goalie for goal.

The Lynx had possession most of the first half holding an advantage on shots 13-2 and corners 4-1. 

Lesley was able to net three more goals in the second off and outshoot the Rams 13-1.  Suffolk goalie Julia Fieldsend made a full extension diving save to keep the Lynx from scoring it's seventh goal.  Fieldsend ended the second half with seven saves, while the first half goalie for the Rams, Kristen Weiker, tallied eight saves.

Senior Samantha Turnbull headed a ball off a corner from Junior Kai Morehead for the Lynx first goal of the second half.  Junior Samantha Ring sent a shot off a deep throw in from sophomore Julia De Mars for another goal with 11:33 remaining.  The final goal of the match was blasted past the goalie by freshman Maddie Deitrick.  She was assisted by Ring.

The Lynx hope to continue their scoring in the NECC Conference opener Saturday, September 16 when they host Southern Vermont College. The Rams travel to Regis College Saturday for a GNAC Conference match up.
