Rubin Voted to NSCAA All-New England Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lesley University junior Karlie Rubin (San Diego, Calif.) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-New England Second Team, released by the NSCAA this afternoon.

Rubin enjoyed quite a junior campaign as she set career-highs with 11 goals, nine assists, and 31 total points from the center midfield position. Her honor from the NSCAA comes after earning a New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference First Team distinction earlier this month.

"We are always proud when one of our players receives regional recognition," said head coach Paul Vasconcelos. "Karlie has worked hard and developed into one of the best midfielders in the region. She is very deserving of this award."

Rubin's spot on the NSCAA All-Region Team marks the sixth straight year Lesley has been represented on the list, while being the ninth student-athlete from the program to be recognized over that span.
