Eight From Women's Soccer Named to NECC All-Conference Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Eight members from the Lesley University women's soccer program have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference Team, announced today by NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen.

Samantha Turnbull (Holtsville, N.Y.), Hope Seasholes (Tucson, Ariz.), Karlie Rubin (San Diego, Calif.), Jordan Mitchell (Sachse, Texas), and Samantha Bessey (Algonquin, Ill.) were each named to the First Team, while Maddy Kelly (San Jose, Calif.) and Tori Ramirez (Redwood City, Calif.) garnered Second Team honors. Kyra Harbus (Ventura, Calif.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Turnbull, Seasholes, and Kelly each were voted as defenders and anchored a Lesley backline that allowed just three goals in nine conference matches. The trio also added some punch to the offense as Turnbull found the back of the net twice, Seasholes added one goal, and Kelly finished with three goals and one assists.

Rubin powered the offense from the middle of the field for the Lynx and set career-highs with 11 goals and nine assists in 22 total matches, including a team-best eight goals and six assists in NECC play.

Mitchell led the way with 13 goals and seven assists for a team-high 33 points while appearing in all 22 matches on the season. The sophomore was excellent in conference play, netting six goals and doling out five assists.

Bessey also set a career-high with 11 tallies in her sophomore campaign to go along with three helpers, including six goals and one assist in seven conference appearances.

Ramirez was a main cog for the Lynx scoring one goal and setting a career-high with six assists while playing a main component in keeping possession in the middle of the field.
