ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- Lesley University sophomore Samantha Bessey (Algonquin, Ill.) has been named New England Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, announced today by Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen.
This marks the second time Bessey has been recognized with the honor, as she was also tabbed as Player of the Week on September 6th. The sophomore forward continue her terrific season for the Lynx as netted a pair of goals and handed out an assist.

NECC WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Samantha Bessey, Lesley (So., Forward - Algonquin, Ill.) - Bessey earns her second NECC Player of the Week honor of the season after propelling the Lynx to a 1-1 week. The sophomore forward made her mark in a 6-0 win over Bay Path as she buried a pair of second half goals while also dishing out an assist. On the season, she now has six goals and three assists.
