KANSAS CITY – Lesley University senior Hayley Wirth (Escondido, Calif.) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-New England Region Second Team.

The award comes on the heels of Wirth earning New England Collegiate Conference First Team honors and helping lead the Lynx to their fourth straight NECC Championship and trip to the NCAA Tournament. The senior was the lone selection from the NECC to be honored by the NSCAA.

The senior defender was dominant on the backline for the Lynx, limiting opponents to just 12 goals in 19 regular season matches while posting 14 total shutouts.

Wirth also got involved on the offensive side of the ball as she finished tied for third on the team with six goals while dishing out two assists for 14 total points on the season.

This is the second time Wirth has been honored by the NSCAA in her career as she was named an All-East Region Scholar in 2014.
