Halen, Landerholm Selected to Play in NEWISA Senior Bowl

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University's Hannah Landerholm (Edmonds, Wash.) and Veronica Halen (San Diego, Calif.) have both been voted to play in the 2014 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association Senior Bowl which will take place on Saturday, December 6th at Merrimack College. The two join Jenna Fralick (2011), Alyson Durben (2010), Cathryn Folkstad (2009), Jodi Fralick (2009), and Lani Cabral-Pini (2008) as the only Lynx to ever participate in the Senior Bowl.

"We were obviously thrilled to hear that both Ronnie and Hannah were selected to the Senior Bowl along with so many talented student-athletes from all over New England," said head coach Paul Vasconcelos. "Both of them are very deserving of this and it's a wonderful way to end their college playing careers."

Landerholm is a two-time New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year that helped anchor a Lynx backline that allowed just seven goals during the 2014 season. Landerholm also registered seven goals and three assists in her senior season while finishing her career 21 goals, four assists, and 46 points.

After missing much of her senior season due to injury, Halen came back with a terrific 2014 campaign. The 2011 NECC Player of the Year finished with five goals and six assists on the season. For her career, Halen tallied 42 goals, a program-record 37 assists and 121 career points.

The duo helped lead the Lynx to their third straight NECC title and third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. Lesley also tied their program record for wins as they finished with an 18-4-0 overall record.
