Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After concluding one of the greatest seasons in program history on the field this season, the Lesley women's soccer team also shined off the field and has earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award.

The team excelled in the classroom, posting a collective grade point average of 3.48, a mark well over the required minimum of 3.0 to be eligible for the award.

"We were very happy with how we performed on the field and for the team to earn an award like this makes this season all the more special," said head coach Paul Vasconcelos. "A lot of teams do great on the field, but there are few that perform as well as we do on and off the field and that is something we are very proud of"

This marks the 11th time in the past 12 years that the Lynx have been honored with the award, keeping up with an incredible level of consistency.

The Lynx won their 2nd consecutive NECC Championship going a program best 18-2-1 before falling to Williams in the NCAA tournament.
