CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University freshman Morgan Zack (Bellevue, Wash.) and sophomore Hayley Wirth (Escondido, Calif.) have been honored as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week and Player of the Week, respectively. NECC Assistant Commissioner, Robb Modica, made the announcement in the conference Weekly Report.
Both Zack and Wirth were instrumental throughout the conference tournament as Lesley secured their second consecutive NECC Championship. The Lynx topped Regis College 2-1 in the NECC Semifinals before edging Elms College in a double-overtime thriller, 1-0. After the championship match, Wirth was named NECC Tournament MVP.
