Offense Stays Hot as Women's Soccer Rolls DWC

NASHUA, N.H. – The Lesley University women's soccer team posted an 8-0 victory over host Daniel Webster on Saturday at Eagle Field in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's soccer action. The Lynx, now winners of three straight, improve to 10-1-1 on the season and a perfect 4-0 in NECC play while the Eagles fall to 0-9 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Melinda Robinson (Plano, Tex.) led the Lynx with two goals and an assist, while Jasmine Sanchez (Chino, Cal.) scored twice, marking her second consecutive match with a goal scored. Marysol Flores (Pico Rivera, Cal.) added a goal and two assists while Alexis Giusti (Meridian, Cal.) picked a goal and assist.

Junior Emily Johnston (Goldens Bridge, Cal.) and freshman Morgan Zack (Bellevue, Wash.) each notched solo scores for the Lynx who have scored fifteen goals in their past two games after defeating Bay Path College 7-1 this past Thursday.

Lesley built a 7-0 lead at the half and finished the game outshooting the Eagles by a 27-0 margin.

Daniel Webster keeper Kerry Hager (Wolcott, Conn.) made 14 stops in the effort while senior Victoria Ellis (Laguna Beach, Calif.) earned her third win of the season without making a save.

The Eagles return to action on Monday hosting Regis in a NECC matchup at 4:00 p.m. Lesley visits Fitchburg State on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
