CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After getting off to a 6-0-1 start, the Lesley University women's soccer team received the No. 9 ranking in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America New England Region Poll. The Lynx, who faced off with two New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conferece (NEWMAC) schools last week, pulled out a 2-1 at Wellesley College and notched a 0-0 tie with MIT at Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols. MIT is the third-ranked team in the New England Region and is ranked No. 20 in the country.
Lesley will open up New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) play on Saturday, September 21st at 1:00p when they play host to Southern Vermont College before heading up to Middlebury, Vermont for a non-conference tilt with the Panthers of Middlebury College, who received the No. 10 ranking in New England, on Tuesday, September 24th. Kick-off for that matchup is set for 4:00p.
