WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Two second half goals led the visiting Lesley University women's soccer team to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Wellesley College on a hot and humid Wednesday afternoon. The win keeps the Lynx undefeated, as the team moved to 6-0 on the season, while the loss dips Wellesley to 1-4 overall.

Lesley needed over 63 minutes to get on the board, but they capitalized on two goals within a span of 10 minutes to nab the victory. The Lynx ended the game with an 8-6 edge in shots, and a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Wellesley had the early momentum, scoring on its first shot of the game. Senior LJ Foster was the catalyst, as the ball was played through the back before she ran on ripped a shot to the back post for a 1-0 lead.

Lesley had a shot at tying the game in the 15th minute of play, but Casey Decareau's (Haverhill, Mass.) attempt nailed the cross bar and sailed over the goal.

The game remained 1-0 Wellesley until the 64th minute, when Lesley's Sarah Apgar (Andover, N.J.) scored on a backside shot. Apgar was assisted on the play by a nice pass from Morgan Zack (Bellevue, Wash.).

The visitors increased their lead in the 74th minute, after Hannah Landerholm (Edmonds, Wash.) finished a set piece on a corner. Veronica Halen (San Diego, Calif.) started the play, earning an assist as the Lynx went up, 2-1.

Wellesley recorded two shots in the final 11 minutes of play, but Emily Wilson's attempt was saved and Alysha Cross's bid was wide, handing Lesley the 2-1 win.

Lesley's Emileigh Lloyd (Middletown, Pa.) earned the victory in goal, making two saves, while the Blue's Claire Cerda recorded five saves.

Wellesley is back in action on Saturday, hosting Regis College in a 1:00pm match-up. Lesley also plays on Saturday at 1:00pm, hosting MIT.
